Forget Resolutions. Create a 2014 Life Theme & Be Your Best Self … All Year Long

New Years Resolutions are the product of small thinking.

I know you want to live the best version of you in 2014. You want to walk in your truth and express what you came to this planet to express, but living as brilliant you is far beyond simply quitting smoking or calling your mother more … which you and I should absolutely do.

Imagine, if instead of a few piddly resolutions, you had a LIFE THEME MANTRA for the entire year – an inspiring phrase or juicy sentence, some snappy creed that set your cells on rapturous fire every time it slid past your super sexy lips.

Imagine if just a few simple words could empower you all year long to consistently show up as the BEST VERSION OF YOU … in every aspect of your life.

Wouldn’t that be awesome?

I think so, too. So I created a video sharing my annual Life Theme Mantra creation process with you.

After my hitting bottom early last year, in crisis and fed up with playing small, this sentence popped into my head: “Go Big … or Go Home-less!”

I made that my theme for 2013, and that made the next 11 months BEYOND AWESOME!! Because I intend to PLAY LARGE and PASSIONATE in 2014, too, I have a new Life Theme theme to support me far more powerfully than any silly little goal like eating less chocolate (which is definitely a silly goal).

My 2014 Life Theme Mantra is: “My Year of Mastery”

Here’s the video to create yours and start living an awesome 2014:
(grab pen and paper … and make sure to watch the entire video!)

Please leave a comment or email me and let me know what you come up with!

I insist on creating an AWESOME 2014 … what about you?

Enjoy!!

Beautiful video, Bryan! Love the light music, embedded text, and uplifting message. I followed your steps, and I’m so excited that I have a 2014 Theme Mantra: “Daily rituals for self love”! Thank you for all that you do.

Good day! I am a first time visitor and found you through Mastin Kipp’s TheDailyLove. I really enjoyed your video and like your approach to shaping the coming year. My 2014 theme: Show up, Open up. I did your recommended exercises and this is what was born. When I think of the phrase I get a smile and feel filled with motivation and potential. ‘Give thanks for unknown blessings already on their way.’ (Navajo blessing) Cheers!

Hi Emme!! I’m so grateful you shared this with me. I love your theme for 2014! I’ll add that to my list of great examples. Thanks so much. … HAVE FUN THIS YEAR! Love, Bryan

  5. That’s a nice life theme to have for 2014…I agree that it shouldn’t be about resolutions. I think of them as small goals working towards values. In 2013, my theme was ‘out of my comfort zone’ and it was great. This year it is to live (and not merely exist) and to be open and real.
